VOLTEX® and VOLTEX DS® – Bentonite Geotextile Waterproofing.
VOLTEX is a highly effective waterproofing composite comprising two high strength geotextiles and Volclay sodium bentonite. The two geotextiles are interlocked by a patented needlepunching process which encapsulates the bentonite prior to hydration.
VOLTEX is excellent for waterproofing below-grade horizontal and vertical surfaces, such as under slabs and property line construction – soldier pile and lagging, metal sheet piling, and concrete caisson retention walls.
VOLTEX DS is a highly effective waterproofing membrane designed for below-grade applications, consisting of a composite of two high strength geotextiles, needlepunched together to encapsulate Volclay sodium bentonite and a HDPE liner integrally bonded to the non-woven geotextile.
SWELLTITE® – Bentonite Composite System.
SWELLTITE membranes are high strength composite products that provide dual waterproofing protection. SWELLTITE combines the natural waterproofing abilities of Volclay bentonite and butyl rubber with the strength and puncture resistance of a geomembrane liner. If water penetrates the liner layer, the bentonite activates and stops the water.
SWELLTITE is ideal for use on split-slab construction, backfilled concrete walls, masonry block walls, and property line development.
ULTRASEAL SP® and ULTRASEAL BT®– Bentonite Polymer Alloy Waterproofing
Volclay ULTRASEAL is a technological advancement in below-grade waterproofing. ULTRASEAL combines Volclay sodium bentonite and a chemically resistant hydrophilic polymer to form a bentonite-polymer alloy (BPA). The resultant product is ten times less permeable and more chemically resistant than traditional hydrophilic membranes.
Two ULTRASEAL membrane composites – SP & BT – each with specific product performance features provide the best waterproofing proprieties for under slabs, backfilled foundation walls, such as soldier pile and lagging retaining walls.
Volclay ULTRASEAL SP is a three component composite membrane consisting of the BPA core layer between a geotextile and a geomembrane. ULTRASEAL SP is designed for applications where the concrete is poured directly against the membrane, such as underslab and positive pressure blind-side walls.
Volclay ULTRASEAL BT is a two component composite membrane consisting of the BPA core layer integrally bonded to a high strength geomembrane. ULTRASEAL BT is designed for applications where the concrete has already been placed, such as backfilled foundation walls and tunnel roofs.
WATERSTOPS
WATERSTOP RX® – Benonite/Butyl Rubber Flexible Waterstop.
WATERSTOP RX is a Volclay sodium bentonite based waterstop designed to stop water infiltration through cast-in-place concrete construction joints by expanding upon contact with water to form a positive seal against the concrete.
The key to WATERSTOP RX’s effectiveness is its 75% sodium bentonite content which provides superior expansion to seal and fill voids and cracks in the concrete.
AKWASTOP®– Vinyl Ester Waterstop.
AKWASTOP is a chemically resistant hydrophilic vinyl ester waterstop designed to provide an active seal in concrete construction joints. AKWASTOP is a soft, flexible yet durable strip that reacts with water in a controlled manner to provide a tight seal against water intrusion under hydrostatic pressure. Liquid molecules are held in a vinyl ester polymer matrix by electrochemical bonds causing swelling to create a gasket seal without creating a wicking effect.
AKWASTOP is resistant to water that is contaminated with solvents and hydrocarbons such as; petrol, kerosene, diesel fuel and heating oil.

CETCOAT® – Cement based Crystalline Waterproofing System.
CETCOAT is a cement based coating which waterproofs concrete and masonry surfaces through a crystallization process. The unique chemical composition allows CETCOAT to react with water to create a penetrating crystalline growth within the concrete. This crystalline growth serves to densify and block the porosity of the concrete, creating an impervious waterproofing barrier. The unique chemicals in CETCOAT continue to work long after the product is applied. In positive side applications, the crystalline growth is forced deeper into the structure by hydrostatic pressure.
CETPLUG® – Hydraulic Patching Compound.
CETPLUG is a quick stetting hydraulic cement-based patching compound designed to stop active seepage through concrete and masonry. It will not shrink, rust or spall in moist conditions. When mixed into a putty consistency and forced into active leaks, CETPLUG stops water flow immediately. CETPLUG is used to fill voids, cracks or honeycomb in cast-in–place or precast concrete when active leaks are present. Typical applications include foundations, basements, tunnels, water reservoirs, sewerage plants, water tanks and manholes.
BENTOSEAL® – Trowel Grade Sodium Bentonite Sealant.
Bentoseal is trowel-grade, sodium bentonite/butyl-rubber based sealant designed for a variety of surface preparation and waterproof detailing work with Swelltite and Voltex waterproofing membranes. Being bentonite based BENTOSEAL swells upon contact with water to seal against water intrusion. With the consistency of thick grease BENTOSEAL is easy to apply and bonds to most substrate materials
BENTOGROUT® – High Solids Bentonite Based Grout.
BENTOGROUT is a high solids grout consisting of a propriety blend of bentonite and natural minerals formulated for sealing water leaks in existing below-grade structures. BENTOGROUT is pumped in a fluid state against the exterior of the structure where it sets up to a solid material, forming a water barrier around the structure. Unlike many remedial waterproofing products that are applied as a surface treatment to the interior of the concrete wall, BENTOGROUT is applied to the exterior of the foundation wall where it stops the water before it can penetrate the structure and further corrode the reinforcing steel. The thick, low permeable BENTOGROUT membrane covers the exterior surface of the structure, filling voids inn adjacent soil and sealing small cracks in the concrete. BENTOGROUT is a pliable material that has the ability to self-heal if the structure or soils continue to settle. Applications include concrete and masonry walls, under slabs, vaults, manholes and tunnels. BENTOGROUT can also be used as an insulating material for electrical and hydronic heating applications.
WATERSTOPPAGE – Granular Sodium Bentonite.
Volclay WATERSTOPPAGE is chemically treated, granular sodium bentonite used as a detailing accessory product
to Volclay Waterproofing Systems. When hydrated, WATERSTOPPAGE forms into a dense, low permeable material that combines with the sodium bentonite in the Volclay System products to form a seamless waterproofing membrane. WATERSTOPPAGE is used to fill in cavities and voids in the substrate prior to installing the main bentonite waterproofing course. It is also used to seal around slab penetrations to form a continuous waterproofing system.
